Please join the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) for a workshop on TxDOT’s Transportation Alternatives pedestrian and bicycle projects in the SE Houston region. Representatives from TxDOT will provide information on pedestrian, bicycle, and other transportation improvements.

Location Gilruth Recreation Center - Destiny Ballroom

Target Audience Cyclists, cities, other local agencies and those interested in TxDOT’s pedestrian and bicycle projects in the south-eastern region (see map attached).
Registration No registration is necessary to attend. However, a reply to Ana Ramirez (see information below) by March 20, 2018 will help us plan for your attendance.

Topics to be discussed in the workshop, include:
• Design considerations in Rural and Suburban Areas;
• TxDOT’s on- and off road pedestrian and bicycle projects;
• Past, Present and Future: Pedestrian and Bike Count Data; and
• TxDOT’s Bicycle Tourism Trails Study.
This workshop will focus on projects selected for federal Transportation Alternatives funding in rural and suburban areas which include:
• South East Harris County;
• East Fort Bend County;
• All of Brazoria County; and
• North Galveston County.
